Washington DC has so many historic places, which are all interesting and which represent an emotional story. One example is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It is located in the National Mall between museums and memorials. The memorial wall is half sunk into the ground and has a ramp on one side. Names of U.S. armed forces, who were involved in the Vietnam War, are engraved into the black granite wall. Relatives who visit the memorial can remember and can trace over the names while being surrounded by the wall.
