Waller Creek Conservancy
Board of Directors
As a steward of Waller Creek, the Waller Creek Conservancy plays a vital role in the preservation, redevelopment and maintenance of the creek’s surrounding parks, nearby businesses, adjoining neighborhoods and community at large. Chris Sanders has served on the organization’s board of directors since 2012.

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
Advisory Council
In 2004, Chris Sanders was appointed by the president of the University of Texas at Austin to serve a three-year term on the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center’s advisory council. The council is responsible for furthering the mission, goals, programs, services, activities and development of the center. Chris served three subsequent three-year terms and most recently chaired the Gardens and Site Management Committee.

Boy Scouts of America Capitol Area Council
Lost Pines Boy Scout Camp
On a pro bono basis, Sanders Architecture designed and documented a shower and bathroom pavilion at the Lost Pines Boy Scout Camp near Bastrop, Texas. Private donations and volunteer work of the boy scouts brought the project to completion in the Spring of 2014.
